So you Want To Attend Avengers Campus
Okay, I may be leaning a little heavy into the “college recruitment” theming here, but I just can’t help it. Expect all the major college and super hero puns and references in this article. But don’t worry, I also have all the important information and insider tips you will need to plan your visit.
For starters… is Avengers Campus right for you? You don’t just randomly go to any university, and Avengers Campus is the same. So let’s explore if Avengers Campus is a good fit for your super hero capabilities.
Where is Avengers Campus Located?
Avengers Campus is located in Disney California Adventure Park, inside of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
The campus (land) is nestled between Hollywoodland and Cars Land where a bug’s land was previously located.
You can enter from either side, with Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! towering over the Hollywoodland gateway, and Grizzly Peak casting a shadow over the entrance near Cars Land. A third entrance comes from the path between Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters and Cozy Cone and enters near Avengers Headquarters.

When will Avengers Campus Open?
Avengers Campus is set to start accepting its first recruits on June 4, 2021.
Are Reservations Required?
Wanting to tour Avengers Campus? Tours begin on June 4, 2021. A valid Disneyland Resort Park Ticket is required to visit the campus, as well as a park reservation for California Adventure Park.
Stay tuned for any updates to if you will need to set a reservation for a time to enter Avengers Campus.
What Rides Are In Avengers Campus at Disneyland
If you are like me, your biggest draw at Disneyland Resort is the rides, and so you are probably wondering what rides will be available at Avengers Campus when it opens.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!
Formerly the Tower of Terror, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! was a retheming that was completed in 2017. Formerly at the end of Hollywoodland, this ride teased an addition of a Marvel Avengers themed land, before the official announcement, with a man hole cover located to the side with the Avengers Symbol on it.
Now the ride will lead the way to Avengers Campus from Hollywoodland.
This ride features the great music we hear in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, fast rises and free-fall drops. While this Disneyland Resort Ride has a height requirement of 40″, not all who can ride will want to. Parents should definitely think about their child’s thrill tolerance before attempting this ride with little ones.
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
Our favorite web-slinging Avenger will star in his own attraction when Avengers Campus open on June 4, 2021.
Riders of all height requirements will be able to help Spider-Man wrangle rogue spider-bots by slinging webs.
More Rides Coming?
While we aren’t sure of the exact timeline, we believe we will see more rides coming in Phase 2 of Avengers Campus. Previously confirmed, we have not received a recent update after Disneyland’s extended closure. Hopefully, now that Disneyland has reopened, we will receive updates soon.
Guide To Food At Avengers Campus
What do Super Heroes eat to fuel their missions? Let’s find out! Avengers Campus will have some unique and fun food options.
Shawarma Palace
Not going to lie, I had to go refresh myself as to where Shawarma was in the MCU. At the end of 2012’s Avengers the heroes eat Shawarma to eat. I guess they really liked it as they had the owners open a cart on their new Avengers Campus.
So what can you find to eat here?
Disney released their foodie guide to Avengers Campus and it included a little more info on the two Shawarma options available. (PS – I won’t share every menu item for every dining option, but since this one only has two, I thought I would share them here.)
New York’s Tastiest
This is a wrap with shawarma spiced chicken, and garlic sauce. It is accompanied by pickled vegetables and a creamy lemon yogurt-tahini dipping sauce.
Impossible Victory Falafel
On top of being fun to say the word Falafel, this is one of many plant based dining options inside of Avengers Campus. As the name implies it is made with Impossible Meat.
The Impossible Victory Falafel is made with crusted cauliflower. It also comes with garlic sauce and hummus. The wrap will also have a tahini dipping sauce that has a tofu base. Like the New York’s Tastiest, it also comes with pickled vegetables.
Terran Treats
The Collector (Taneleer Tivan from Guardians of the Galaxy) has brought together a sweet and unique menu for those touring Avengers Campus. Recruits will enjoy two options of snacks when the land opens.
Sweet Spiral Ration
A spiral-shaped pineapple churro. You know my family will be anxious to try this as they love trying all of the specialty churros every season.
A crisp cream puff with a whipped raspberry cheesecake filling.
Pym Tasting Lab
Pym Technologies, known for their revolutionary Pym Particles, operates this advanced research and development space where they can tinker with brilliant new brewing systems. Now, for the first time ever, members of the public are invited to taste the results!
This location includes specialty craft beers and beer cocktails. It is next to Pym Test Kitchen. In fact, some other articles have simply skipped over this location, considering it as part of Pym Test Kitchen.
Pym Test Kitchen
Pym Test Kitchen is a quick service dining option that plays off of Antman and the Wasp, utilizing Pym Particles, they shrink and grow food.
This is an actual restaurant, with a lot more options than the two other food options in Avenger’s Campus. You can see the full menu on the Disneyland Website or App, but here are some of the most noteworthy items.
Quantam Pretzel
A pretzel is more fun when you share it with your super hero friends. This pretzel is large in size, 453.8 grams, and comes with Sharp Cheddar Cheese Beer Sauce.
Pym-ini Sandwich
This panini sandwich has made headlines as it has both a personal-sized option for $14.99, and also has a Quantum sized option for just shy of $100, making it one of the most expensive sandwiches out there. Rumor is, even Tony Stark scoffed a bit at the price, but then bought one to feed the Avengers at Avengers Headquarters.
The Quantim Pym-ini Sandwich can feed 6-8, but I personally think you could push it to feed 10 people.
The panini has salami, rosemary ham, provolone and sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia, served with marinara dipping sauce and arugula salad.
PB3 Superb Sandwich
A warm PB&J with banana and candied bacon on Pym Particle bread, served with micro banana smoothie and crispy potato bites.
Impossible Spoonful
This is a plant-based option available at Pym Test Kitchen. The Impossible Spoonful is rigatoni and ditalini pastas, plant-based meat-balls, tomato sauce, dairy-free parmesan and micro basil.
And For Dessert … Celestial-sized Candy Bar: Choco-Smash CANDY Bar
A Choco Smash Candy Bar with dark chocolate, peanuts, caramel, nougat and chocolate brownie.
Breakfast at Pym Test Kitchen
Breakfast options are extremely limited right now in Disneyland as dining returns to the parks, so I was excited to see a breakfast menu for Pym Test Kitchen.
Breakfast options include omelets, bacon, eggs, and more. Some items are quantum-sized, others are shrunk down, and some are just right for us average-sized humans.
Unique Character Interactions at Avengers Campus
Of course, what would a tour at Avengers Campus be without seeing some of your favorite super heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
While Character Interactions at Disneyland look different in 2021, we do know that some of our favorite characters will be visible in this area of the park.
Avengers Headquarters
This building was designed to be a meet and greet building, much like you see at many Walt Disney World locations, or similar to the Royal Hall at Princess Fantasy Fair.
It is unclear if the Avengers Headquarters will open with the land, given the current health protocols in place, but here is a list of possible heroes you may see here during your tour when available:
- Iron Man
- Black Panther
- Captain Marvel
- Black Widow
- Thor
- Doctor Strange
- Ant-Man
- The Wasp
- The Guardians of the Galaxy
All new spider-man animatronic
One of the coolest features we have been given a sneak peek of is a brand new Spider-Man animatronic that will have you keeping your eyes on top of the buildings in Avengers Campus. Spider-Man may just be there, keeping an eye on the new recruits, and performing some acrobatic stunts.
Other character Meet and Greets
Avengers Campus has spaces set up that are perfect for meet and greets once traditional character meetings can return. The Ancient Sanctum and Doctor Strange is the perfect example of this.
Until the time we can meet our favorite Avengers in person, I think we will see characters through out the land in new, unexpected ways.
Hot New Tech and Merch in Avengers Campus
Of course, we all know that merchandise is big in Disney Parks, and Avengers Campus is no different. But when you have a Marvel themed land, built by Stark Industries, you can imagine that there will be a lot of cool tech as part of that merchandise.
WEB Suppliers
WEB Suppliers carries the latest and greatest tech for fans of Spider-Man. From Spider-Bots (that you can build and customize, much like the building of droids in Galaxy’s Edge) to the latest Avengers fashion, you will have access to cutting edge technologies and more.
WEB Suppliers also offers the newest WEB tech that can be utilized on WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. I have mixed feelings on buying an accessory for the ride, and I think my friend Dusty at MiceChat.com brought up a lot of good points. What are your thoughts on this?
Campus Supply Pod
Even Avengers and WEB recruits have school spirit. The Campus Supply Pod lets you suit up with Avengers Campus performance fleece hoodies, T-shirts and headwear. Plus, check out an amazing array of drinkware and other essential Super Hero supplies.
The Collector’s warehouse
This is the gift shop as you exit Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! This shop includes some of the most unique collectors items from around the universe.
From your Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise, to more obscure Marvel characters (think Howard the Duck), you will find a gift for any Marvel fan in this shop.
